Bushy Boy News

Bob Schieffer is a longtime and good friend of President Bush. Bobby Boy's brother Tommy Boy was a former business partner with Bush and was appointed by Bush as ambassador to Australia and then Japan. Bobby Boy landed exclusive interviews with Bush when he was governor. When Dan Rather was forced out, Bobby Boy replaced him as interim anchor for the weekday CBS Evening News upon which the White House announced they did not hate CBS anymore as they now had Bobby Boy as anchor.
CBS executives have decided there is no future role at the network for Dan Rather, making it certain that the man who sat in the anchor chair for 24 years will depart by this fall.

These executives recognize Rather's contributions over four decades and are not trying to boot him because of the controversy surrounding his botched story on President Bush and the National Guard, say network sources who declined to be named while discussing a sensitive personnel matter.

Hey Swedemeat:

I thought you'd stopped visiting at the old Burkean hangout. I've been meaning to invite you back, particularly to see what comments you might have on my nuclear weapons posts. How do nukes fit in with the PsyOPs loony scenaries you're often floating?

Also, because I know you're a man of good character, who's helped me improve my blog, I'd like to ask that you please revise your link to my site. You and I both know I'm no Stalinist, so at least change that. May I suggest "Radical Righties?" And Quirky? Perhaps so, but I'd prefer a straightforward link if you don't mind. In any case, I'd be happy to resume our deliberations. A fair fight's a good fight.

Take care

I'd like to refer readers to my May 22 post at Burkean Reflections for the comment thread in which you agreed that building a wall at our southern borders would be "too Stalinist." As you have previously agreed with my anti-Stalinist remarks, it is hypcritical for you to state otherwise now. Besides, being the upstanding citizen you are, you wouldn't want to deligitimize what other points you make.

Take care.
