Divine Psy-Op Blast

The US military plans to detonate a 700-tonne explosive charge in a test called "Divine Strake" that could send a mushroom cloud over Las Vegas, a senior defense official said Thursday. "We're also making sure that Las Vegas understands"
This test has several purposes of which one purpose is probably most important in its pressing nature - to fast track the psychological conditioning of Americans to accept as relatively benign the pending deployment of so-called tactical nukes into the scheduled Q2 Iranian theatre of operations.

If a mushroom cloud towering in the perceived vicintiy of Las Vegas is acceptably safe for Americans to rationally tolerate then the mushroom clouds soon to billow forth from deployed tactical nukes in Iran of similar TNT tonnage equivalents are per mitigating logic no more harmful.

This psy-op blast is part and parcel of the Pentagon's ongoing information operation to sufficiently erode publically held prejudices against the offensive use of nuclear weapons beyond their present defensive deployment as deterrents of grave retribution.

We're quite sure the Pentagon's educatory efforts will prove to be divinely successful.

Ann Coulter's Meatballs Of Wrath

(Ann Coulter) sprung up on the couch on all fours and looked over her shoulder at me. She pointed to her twitching, puckered anus. ‘See this?’
I nodded eagerly.
‘I want you to wreck it.’
I spit on my skeezer-pleaser and, prying her ass cheeks apart like a hot dinner roll, drove it home, into the biggest browneye I had ever seen. She gurgled contentedly. Every thrust of my babymaker was met with a wrenched squeal as I grabbed her by the hips and began really leaning into it.
‘Harder!’ she begged, ‘Harder!! Tell me what you think of Chomsky!’
‘I..think..he’s..brill..iant..but..I..don’t really agree with much of his stance on Israel, and--’
‘You’re slowing down!’ she snapped. ‘DON’T SLOW DOWN!’
I went back to punishing her asshole, giving no thought whatsoever to compassionate conservatism as her chocolate socket gnawed on my pork pipe. She was babbling now, as out of a delirious reverie.
‘Feed it,' Ann Coulter rasped. 'Feed my hungry asshole!'

Meatballs vs Useful Ex-Cop

SMC senses a most excellent substrate for further and expanded apologetics in a recent study published by Foreign Affairs. Quidnunc peak-oiler Mike Rupert's been setting up that fallback apologetic for quite some time now. He's proven to be a useful derelict after all.

Overall confidence in U.S. foreign policy has declined, with casualties in Iraq remaining the public’s top concern. But the consequences of U.S. energy dependency is now a close second, according to the second edition of the Public Agenda Confidence in U.S. Foreign Policy Index.

Dahrling Meatball

A disturbing trend noticeable in Iraq for quite some time now is that each aggressive Israeli military operation in the occupied territories results in a corresponding increase in the number of attacks on US forces in Iraq. One of the first instances of this was the assassination of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin in March 2004 and the reaction it set off across Shia and Sunni, ultimately spiraling into the siege and devastation of Fallujah. Fallujah is but one example one may use to demonstrate how the ongoing use of heavy handed tactics by the US-Israel alliance is proving to be as suicidal as it is homicidal. US troops in Iraq and Israeli civilians in their homes can bear testimony to this, as they are the ones who bear the brunt. Not to mention the collateral damage in Iraq.

The Karl Rove of Mesopotamia

The myth that the United States believes that Iraqis have the right to a government of their choice is exposed by a report in today's New York Times that says President Bush is the Karl Rove of Mesopotamia.

Or, at least thinks he is.

The American ambassador (Zalmay Khalilzad) has told Shiite officials that President Bush does not want the Iraqi prime minister to remain the country's leader in the next government, senior Shiite politicians said Tuesday.

It is the first time the Americans have directly expressed a preference in the furious debate over the country's top job, the politicians said, and it is inflaming tensions between the Americans and some Shiite leaders...

Mr. Khalilzad said Mr. Bush "doesn't want, doesn't support, doesn't accept" Mr. Jaafari as the next prime minister, according to Mr. Taki, a senior aide to Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim, the head of the Shiite bloc. It was the first "clear and direct message" from the Americans on a specific candidate for prime minister, Mr. Taki said.

The Shiite bloc, which won a plurality in the parliamentary election in December, nominated Mr. Jaafari last month to retain his post for four more years...

American officials in Baghdad did not dispute the Shiite politicians' account of the conversation, though they would not discuss the details of the meeting. A spokeswoman for the American Embassy confirmed that Mr. Khalilzad met with Mr. Hakim on Saturday. But she declined to comment on what was said.

"The decisions about the choice of the prime minister are entirely up to the Iraqis," said the spokeswoman, Elizabeth Colton. "This will be an Iraqi decision."...

The Americans have harshly criticized the Jaafari government in recent months for supporting Shiite militias that have been fomenting sectarian violence a
nd pushing Iraq closer to full-scale civil war.

Mr. Khalilzad has sharpened his criticism in the last week, saying the militias are now killing more people than the Sunni Arab-led
insurgency. American officials have expressed growing concern that Mr. Jaafari is incapable of reining in the private armies, especially since Moqtada al-Sadr, the anti-American cleric who leads the most volatile militia, is Mr. Jaafari's most powerful backer.

Just last week, Ambassador Khalilzad was saying:

"I have been reduced -- and I am not complaining -- to an observer, which is a good thing," he said, dismissing the widely held belief that he is still the driving force for unity, cajoling rival groups to negotiate. "I think now I say that they are really politically moving toward a self-reliance."

It looks like someone was being diplomatic rather than truthful.

Bush's appointments to swanky postings tend to be rewards for support, usually of the seedier campaign contribution type. Ol' man Tuttle, the current American ambassador to Britain, was a big contributor in the Republican Regents Club set up by notorious torturer of children, Mel Sembler. Big time GOP fundraiser Mel Sembler was also awarded by Bush with an ambassadorship to Italy as a tax-subsidized kick-back for Mel's record-breaking huckstering on behalf of the GOP.
"This new ambassador is a car salesman and an ally of President Bush. This is clearly a political decision,'' Livingstone said. "It would actually be quite nice if the American ambassador in Britain could pay the charge that everybody else is paying and not actually try and skive out of it like some chiseling little crook.''WaPo

"EXCUSE MATRIX" Info-Op Update

The information operation against Russia is showing signs of mismanagement barely four days into the effort. Defense is unable to get all of the uniformed military commands to work from the same playbook.

The U.S. military's Central Command said yesterday it has not opened an investigation into whether sources inside the command leaked details of the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq to Russian officials, and distanced itself from captured Iraqi documents that contain the allegations...

A Central Command official said the command takes "all matters of operational security seriously" but was not probing the allegations...

In e-mailed statements in response to questions, Centcom cast doubt upon the validity of the captured Iraqi documents: "It's important to remember that the information came from an Iraqi intelligence report.

"Central command does not vouch for the document's accuracy or authenticity," the statement said...

Suc
h views contrast with those of the authors of the 210-page Iraqi Perspectives Project study released Friday by the U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk. They said they believe the Iraqi documents are authentic. Retired Lt. Col. Kevin M. Woods, the project director, said he had "no reason to doubt the Iraqi documents."...

The Central Command spokesman, said no one in his office knew of the existence of the Iraqi documents before the study's release on Friday, and that it was "highly possible" the military released them without prior vetting by Central Command.

The editorial page of the Washington Post shows today that it is still on board with the anti-Russia propaganda program, itself a sideshow (and liability) to the larger anti-Iran information operation.

"I do think we have to look at the documents and look very carefully," Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said. "But I don't want of jump out ahead and start making accusations about what the Russians may or may not have known." Fair enough, but a Pentagon study has already been through at least part of that exercise. It found no reason to doubt the documents' authenticity.

The news that Moscow would have helped Saddam Hussein fight U.S. forces might be unwelcome to those administration officials who still try to portray Mr. Putin as a partner of the West and a worthy host for the next summit of the Group of Eight nations. But it shouldn't be surprising. As h
as been well documented, Russia did its best to weaken and then break the sanctions regime imposed on Iraq, and then to prevent the 2003 invasion. In exchange it reaped lucrative economic concessions from Saddam Hussein, including the payment of large bribes to senior officials and politicians.

Ms. Rice and other Putin apologists ignore all this in part because they believe Russia will be helpful in stopping Iran's nuclear program. But Russia hasn't been helpful. Since its compromise offer to allow Iran to enrich uranium in Russian facilities failed to gain traction, it has dedicated itself to blocking concerted action by the United States and its European allies in the U.N. Security Council.
Meanwhile it is discussing the sale to Iran of surface-to-air missiles. As Mr. Putin knows, Iran wants those weapons in the event its drive to obtain nuclear bombs eventually leads to a military confrontation -- with the United States. But the possible consequences of bolstering the defenses of a U.S enemy may not deter him. After all, he has suffered none for Russia's actions in Iraq.

The lack of professionalism in executing the EXCUSE MATRIX info-op comes from ignoring one of the oldest rules in the business.

You never want to have too many cooks in the kitchen.

Newsweek - Go To Nuremburg! Do Not Pass Go!

Newsweek columnist Jonathan Alter says journalists were never cheerleaders for the war. "You can find tough-minded stories in a lot of newspapers and magazines going back three years," he says. "It does a disservice to hardworking reporters, in some cases risking their lives, to make it seem like in one week they go from pro-war to antiwar." WaPo

But dear friends, that is precisely what journalists in traditional media have been - cheerleaders. Jonathan Alter is completely full of shit.

We're hearing this more and more everyday from the journalists that hardsold the Iraq war to the U.S. in the very best of Goebbelese traditions - "that they are risking their lives". They feign indignance faced with accusations of their lopsided and pandering ways now that they are roughing up the Administration a wee bit as the polls cover their flanky asses with numbers showing it's completely safe to ask the questions dated best before 3 years ago. Soap and Viagra sales will not be jeopardized.

Some journalists did indeed risk their lives and careers to get at the truth and get it out, but that includes absolutely none of the journalists who are now thumping their yellow chests the loudest. Imagine their well-deserved shame. These back-pedaling chest thumpers too are entirely complicit in this atrocity of a debacle and want, as turncoat cowards do, to speedily distance themselves from the Admin lest they also end up handcuffed in the front row at a much needed new Nuremburg lynching.

Things were fucked up in Iraq for all but the dead to see well over a year ago without risking accusations of defeatistism or worse by the legally sane. But Bush's poll numbers had to drop to what they are now before revisionist charlatans like Jonathan Alter would say diddly-squat.

It kinda makes ya' wanna have a little furball hurl, doesn't it.

Another Freedom Hating Meatball

Below is an excerpt from an interview by LA Daily News' Eric Kronke with Eric Hanley.

Eric Haney, a retired command sergeant major of the U.S. Army, was a founding member of Delta Force, the military's elite covert counter-terrorist unit. He's also someone with close ties to the Pentagon, so he's privy to information denied the rest of us. He serves as an executive producer and technical adviser for "The Unit," CBS' new hit drama based on his book, developed by playwright David Mamet.

Q: What's your assessment of the war in Iraq?

A: Utter debacle. But it had to be from the very first. The reasons were wrong. The reasons of this administration for taking this nation to war were not what they stated. (Army Gen.) Tommy Franks was brow-beaten and ... pursued warfare that he knew strategically was wrong in the long term. That's why he retired immediately afterward. His own staff could tell him what was going to happen afterward.

We have fomented civil war in Iraq. We have probably fomented internecine war in the Muslim world between the Shias and the Sunnis, and I think Bush may well have started the third world war, all for their own personal policies.

Q: What is the cost to our country?

A: For the first thing, our credibility is utterly zero. So we destroyed whatever credibility we had. ... And I say "we," because the American public went along with this. They voted for a second Bush administration out of fear, so fear is what they're going to have from now on.

Our military is completely consumed, so were there a real threat - thankfully, there is no real threat to the U.S. in the world, but were there one, we couldn't confront it. Right now, that may not be a bad thing, because that keeps Bush from trying something with Iran or with Venezuela.

The harm that has been done is irreparable. There are more than 2,000 American kids that have been killed. Tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis have been killed ñ which no one in the U.S. really cares about those people, do they? I never hear anybody lament that fact. It has been a horror, and this administration has worked overtime to divert the American public's attention from it. Their lies are coming home to roost now, and it's gonna fall apart. But somebody's gonna have to clear up the aftermath and the harm that it's done just to what America stands for. It may be two or three generations in repairing.

Q: What do you make of the torture debate? Cheney ...

A: (Interrupting) That's Cheney's pursuit. The only reason anyone tortures is because they like to do it. It's about vengeance, it's about revenge, or it's about cover-up. You don't gain intelligence that way. Everyone in the world knows that. It's worse than small-minded, and look what it does.

I've argued this on Bill O'Reilly and other Fox News shows. I ask, who would you want to pay to be a torturer? Do you want someone that the American public pays to torture? He's an employee of yours. It's worse than ridiculous. It's criminal; it's utterly criminal. This administration has been masters of diverting attention away from real issues and debating the silly. Debating what constitutes torture: Mistreatment of helpless people in your power is torture, period. And (I'm saying this as) a man who has been involved in the most pointed of our activities. I know it, and all of my mates know it. You don't do it. It's an act of cowardice. I hear apologists for torture say, "Well, they do it to us." Which is a ludicrous argument. ... The Saddam Husseins of the world are not our teachers. Christ almighty, we wrote a Constitution saying what's legal and what we believed in. Now we're going to throw it away.

A Butt And A Rebuttal - The Excuse Matrix:Media

The mainstream media has been demonstrably 2-3 years late on doing its job (if its job is not solely defined by its ability to sell soap and Viagra) yet even this pandering better later than never approach is still not indulging enough for the Administration. The media is now one of several targets of blame for the woes of Iraq.

Radio talk show host
Laura Ingraham leads off here with a mediated head to head with James Carville on NBC's Today Show anchored by David Gregory. Laura does a remarkable job of perfectly conveying the deranged reality underlying the new blitz of blame-game claims that it's the medias fault Iraq is looking so weathered. Then we follow up with CBS's Lara Logan. She takes on the claims of the Admin and their sentinels' recent putsch of coordinated attacks against the media. Of course the attack on the media is just one aspect of their newly and aggressively launched Excuse Matrix info-op. Now you tell us, which one of these two women has a boyfriend who's not doing his homework?

Jeb's Little House Of Horrors - Part 3

Links to previous installments in this series: Prologue Part1 Part 2

When The Seed was shut down after the Senate study headed up by Watergate prosecutor Sam Erwin concluded its rehabilitation program for truant teens was using the same highly refined brainwashing techniques used by the North Koreans on American POWs in the Korean War, Mel Sembler, whose son had attended the brainwashing program, waited a few years until Senator Erwin was out of the picture and the media lost interest in the torture camps. Then he restarted the highly profitable program under a new name, Straight Inc., with seed money from a local law enforcement assistant agency.

Super GOP fundraiser Mel Sembler, creator of the Republican Regents Club that accommodates the really big donors (Enron’s Ken Lay), incorporated into his upstart Straight Inc. the behavioural modification protocols from The Seed to reprogram truant children by first destroying the faulty programming of their personalities.

Straight Inc's set out to shatter the spirit of mopy boys, make unruly girls confess of whorish indiscretions, and reverse engineer the minds of head-banging kids and reprogram them all into a docile army of well-behaved zombies - all based on the satanic mind control model of peer-to-peer confrontation and the dehumanizing idea that if children were attacked psychologically and physically by people for hours then it would break their young spirits and a new personality could be slipped into their evacuated shell. The child would be reborn with a new and improved personality.

Mel Sembler's iniquitous imitation of The Seed was a sophisticated torture program designed to make money by claiming to be able to straighten out kids conveniently and profitably deemed to be truants - and it turned out that Mel Sembler's violent brainwashing program was highly illegal and was eventually shut down across America in 1993.

Straight Inc was so bad that a Pennsylvania judge recently ruled that a defendant’s attendance at Straight Inc during his teen years was a mitigating circumstance in his death row sentence for a homophobic murder he committed many years after leaving Straight Inc.

Straight Inc was almost successfully shut down in 1989 but Mel Sembler's influence, according to a 1993 audit by the State of Florida, kept STRAIGHT open despite the emergance of details about the program’s use of torture on children. Phone calls from politicians in 1989 warned probing health inspectors that it didn't matter what abuse they found and reported, the clinics would stay open. After all, they were run by a personal friend of President Bush Sr. The St. Petersburg Times wrote in an op-ed piece that the whole affair had about it, “a persistent foul odor”.

When Straight Inc was finally shut down in 1993 for illegal child abuse, the beatings and sexual humiliation that routinely took place under its auspices finally came to some public attention.

Children were thrown against walls. Young girls were forced to sit in their own menstrual blood. Children were forced to wear their same underwear for weeks or months on end. Children were locked into closets and left to fester in pools of their won bodily fluid and waste.

One girl was forced to hold an enema for hours while being told she was full of crap and needed to have the shit flushed out of her. Children were put in charge of the system according to the peer-to-peer methodology overseen by the programs adult supervisors and encouraged to torture newcomers. This gave rise to the hundreds of stories heard in court of rapes and beatings of restrained children. If the children submitted to cooperation and confession then they got to avoid being tortured and rise in ranks to become torturers themselves.

The sheer depravity of the stories that came out of Mel Sembler’s program seems to this day never ending. That it received such powerful support from men and women in the nations highest echelons makes the for profit scheme all the more diabolical.

One might ask why we at SDC even bother to care about Mel Sembler and the systematic torture of children at Straight Inc. We have many reasons, a few of which follow.

There's been a deformed national debate over whether or not torture is justifiable if it gets people suspected of so-called terror-related activities to confess. Some worry we've opened Pandora's Box, inviting torture and ends-define-the-means abuse into the rest of the American way of life. But it's too late for that. It turns out that in some states we've been using it on our own children for years and it has had the unabashed support of people who to this day occupy posts in the highest echelons of national power.

Prison abuse scandals at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay have Europeans and Americans alike now wondering if the once-admired U.S. has taken an unabashed turn towards escalating evil. The Administration tells us it’s O.K. and even heroic to torture prisoners. And why not, the closest friends and supporters of the Administration have been treating many unfortunate American children like Gitmo inmates for almost 2 decades.

And now we have but started our engines on this horror story because if you think the torture of American children is once and for all eradicated and that the powerful have turned their backs on it then you are wrong. Dead bang wrong in fact. It's all up and running again but this time the torture is outsourced to camps outside of U.S. legal jurisdiction. Extraordinary rendition for American children is alive and screaming. You heard it here and we shit you not. Stay tuned for our next installment.

Charlie Sheen's 911 Inside Job Claims Hit Sweden

Alex Jones' interview with Charlie Sheen about inconsistencies in the U.S. government's official 911 conspiracy story makes the front page of Sweden's largest evening tabloid.

Aside from the novelty of Aftonbladet picking up of the story, what is interesting here is that the tabloid doesn't quote from the Charlie & Alex circus act directly but rather falls back to the safety position of reporting on what
IMDB had to say about the whole thing; reporting about another's reporting instead of risking the accusation of responsibility for first having given wings to the story. Touchy, Touchy.

Again, we media mapped the Skankanavians into ball licking submission back in the day and that media-engineering glue still sticks; leave U.S. government critique out of everything, ya got it?!

Funny how easy it was to effectuate the pandering silence of Swedish media - but then again not. When the rest of the world was building rockets to the moon and Ford Mustangs, the Swedes were busy improving the safety belt and developing unbreakable boxes on wheels.

No More MAD Meatballs

Just wondering what credence this lends to worries about the North Koreans and Iran. But maybe that's a completely different ballgame.
For four decades, relations among the major nuclear powers have been shaped by their common vulnerability, a condition known as mutual assured destruction. But with the U.S. arsenal growing rapidly while Russia's decays and China's stays small, the era of MAD is ending -- and the era of U.S. nuclear primacy has begun.
Read The Essay At Foreign Affairs

Russian experts reacted extremely guardedly to the article in the American journal. It is obvious that Russian strategic nuclear forces are experiencing difficult times. Modernization is being carried out, but at a very slow rate. In the 1990s the Russian submarine fleet was almost totally destroyed. And it hardly seems possible to revive it in the coming years, as this would require colossal funds.

Iran Accused Of Skullduggery in Iraq

It's been a few days since we covered the anti-Iran information operation. Today brings a message from "Zal", as every jerkoff in Washington refers to U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Zalmay Khalilzad.

Iran is publicly professing its support for Iraq's stalemated political process while its military and intelligence services back outlawed militias and insurgent groups, U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad said Thursday.

Iranian agents train and arm Shiite Muslim militias such as the Mahdi Army, linked to one of Iraq's most powerful clerics, Khalilzad said, and also work closely with Sunni Arab-led insurgent forces including Ansar al-Sunna, blamed for dozens of deadly attacks on Iraqi and American soldiers and Shiite civilians.

"Our judgment is that training and supplying, direct or indirect, takes place, and that there is also provision of financial resources to people, to militias, and that there is presence of people associated with Revolutionary Guard and with MOIS," the Afghan-born Khalilzad said, referring to Iran's main military force and its Ministry of Intelligence and Security.

The phrase "our judgment is" refers in U.S. intelligence community-speak to the consensus position expressed in a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE).

Someone authorized Khalilzad to allude to the classified NIE. In other words, this is being released for propaganda purposes.

Khalilzad expressed particular concern over Iran's ties to the Mahdi Army, an armed group loyal to the outspoken Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr that the ambassador said was responsible for many of the recent killings, despite Sadr's public pleas for calm...

But Khalilzad said the United States has had no face-to-face contact with the cleric, in his early thirties, whose followers hold more than 30 seats in the new parliament. "No, I don't talk to him, because we don't meet with Moqtada Sadr, but I have sent him messages publicly. . . . We engage him whatever way we can," said Khalilzad, who added that he and other embassy officials did meet with Sadr's political allies. "I think that our people advise me against it because there is an indictment against him."

The denial of any contact between U.S. officials and Sadr is a questionable assertion at best.

An aide to Sadr, one of the most outspoken critics of the U.S. military presence in Iraq, said Thursday that the cleric would not meet with American officials until foreign troops are withdrawn from Iraq.

The previous statement is made in precisely the same spirit as George W. Bush's claims never to have met Jack Abramoff.

Khalilzad ends with a reasonable statement given the situation. Too bad it is untrue:

"I have been reduced -- and I am not complaining -- to an observer, which is a good thing," he said, dismissing the widely held belief that he is still the driving force for unity, cajoling rival groups to negotiate. "I think now I say that they are really politically moving toward a self-reliance."

The reader is well advised to take Khalilzad's "observer" status with a grain of salt.

Of Booze And Broads - SMC's Deep Background Files

Below is a chirpy insiders post by one of Sweden's ex-PMs (Calle) that never frequented prostitutes. It's about the cartoon related sacking of Sweden's FM by Sweden's pudgy PM.

Calle and a friend(known then for being rather nerdy D&D types) invited two high school hotties over for cocktails at his parent's house when he was but a gangly teeny bopper. The two beguiling girls accepted but left Carl's hopeful happy hour as soon as they had got their teeny belly's full of free booze. Expectant Calle and friend were left sullen in their precosiously snazzy James Bondish attire to figure out what to do with the remainders of that Friday evening. Or was it a Saturday? I can't quite remember and my files are no longer within reach. Nonetheless, he seems like a guy that's matured into an amiable enough fella' over time.

Now if only he would stop chilling with rogue state goons.

Swedish diplomats have got used to getting one foreign policy - or what should go for such - from the Prime Minister and another one from the Foreign Minister. Communication between the two seems to have been very limited indeed.

This was of course the recipe for a series of disasters, and it is the latest of these that has now brought this dramatic crisis.

Laila Frevalds says that it was she who decided to resign, but the evening papers in Stockholm today are saying that it was Göran Persson who decided to fire her.

I wouldn't be surprised if the later stories are based on controlled leaks from the PM's office designed to put him in a somewhat better and her in a somewhat worse light. That’s been happening before. It’s part of the immoral style of leadership that we are seeing.

The Unbearable Stress Of Hatred

There appears to be a competently coordinated release of national studies claiming a significant escalation of anti-semitc sentiment in the West. Terrible it would indeed be if these particular studies' findings of sentiment previously proven to be prodromal to mass murder should be confirmed by further independent scholarly research. Nasty shit must be nipped in its nasty shit shitting butt before it corrodes what must still be considered precious - human life. When the well-being of the unborn is jeopardized by ugly sentiment then worries have evolved into an actual life threatening contingency.

Increased incidents of premature and low-weight babies of any creed, color, or ethnicity due to significant spikes in anomalously vicious stress factors inflicted upon pregnant mothers is worrying news indeed. It's a leading indicator if any of the grave crisis gripping the societies harboring such life-challenging developments and gestational stressors. More so perhaps than the resultants of many another methodology.

The ugly wave of anti-Arab feelings immediately after Sept. 11, 2001, may have been responsible for a sharp increase in the incidence of premature and low-birth-weight babies born to women of Arab descent in the United States in the months that followed the terrorist attacks.

The evidence is circumstantial but compelling, epidemiologist Diane S. Lauderdale of the University of Chicago says in the latest issue of Demography.

Muzzled Meatballs

There is social control in loading young people up with financial obligations. Burdened with debt and desperate to have and keep a job, there is no way they can take a wild year off and certainly no time for protesting, organizing or causing the kind of social and political trouble young people cause from time to time. Would there have been a civil rights movement? Would there have been an antiwar movement if those collegians had been saddled with the debts our present-day young people carry?

How many young people turn away from low-paying but vital professions because they can't earn enough to pay back their loans? How many potential social workers, pro bono lawyers, journalists, environmentalists, teachers, artists, secondary medical professionals and community workers are we losing?

The two things that make most of us cringe are the thought of 1984 and The Stepford Wives. In fiction both of those nightmares achieved reality through drugs or chemicals and voodooish alchemy. In actuality America can become a Stepford nation merely by adjusting the price of education and a few interest rates.

Are You An Anti-Lobbyite?!

In this paper, John J. Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago's Department of Political Science and Stephen M.Walt of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government contend that the centerpiece of U.S. Middle East policy is its intimate relationship with Israel.

The authors argue that although often justified as reflecting shared strategic interests or compelling moral imperatives, the U.S. commitment to Israel is due primarily to the activities of the “Israel Lobby."

This paper goes on to describe the various activities that pro-Israel groups have undertaken in order to shift U.S. foreign policy in a pro-Israel direction.

Flaming Dark Root Blondes Rage

Vigrid, the Norwegian organization for closet gay Nazis, recently filed suit with the Press Ombudman against the Norwegian newspaper Telemarksavisa for rascist persecution of blondes. The newspaper had published a dumb blonde joke. A spokesperson for Vigrid stated that, "If one can't make jokes about jews or muslims then one should not be allowed to make fun of blondes. "

The spokesperson went on to claim that, " for all intents and purposes, the joke and racial slur is aimed at the most vulnerable segment of our people; namely young teenage girls with Nordic looks." Vigrid is suing for USD 1 million.

And since we published the infamous cartoons from the hugely successful psy op campaign here at SMC we just have to publish the million dollar joke that's setting some lithping Nathi Meatballs on fire. Cretin fucks are in no short supply, are they?

What did the blonde do when she had twins?
Went looking for the second father.

Calling ABBA SuperTroopers

MAYDAY MAYDAY ABBA!
Following a death-to-gays fatwa issued last October by Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, death squads of the Badr Corps have been systematically targeting gay Iraqis for persecution and execution, gay Iraqis say. But when they ask for help and protection from U.S. occupying authorities in the “Green Zone,” gay Iraqis are met with indifference and derision. “The Badr Corps is committed to the ‘sexual cleansing’ of Iraq,“ says Ali Hili, a 33-year-old gay Iraqi exile in London...

Are They Insane Or Is This Our Game?

North Korea suggested Tuesday it had the ability to launch a pre-emptive attack on the United States, according to the North's official news agency. A Foreign Ministry spokesman said the North had built atomic weapons to counter the U.S. nuclear threat.

"As we declared, our strong revolutionary might put in place all measures to counter possible U.S. pre-emptive strike," the spokesman said, according to the Korean Central News Agency. "Pre-emptive strike is not the monopoly of the United States."

Euromole Whispers Of Whiners

Euromole just sent us another naked link. What's Euromole trying to tell us this time? Below is an excerpt from the link.
Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints? Chances are he grew up to be a conservative. At least, he did if he was one of 95 kids from the Berkeley area that social scientists have been tracking for the last 20 years. The confident, resilient, self-reliant kids mostly grew up to be liberals.

The study from the Journal of Research Into Personality isn't going to make the UC Berkeley professor who published it any friends on the right. Similar conclusions a few years ago from another academic saw him excoriated on right-wing blogs, and even led to a Congressional investigation into his research funding.

But the new results are worth a look. In the 1960s Jack Block and his wife and fellow professor Jeanne Block (now deceased) began tracking more than 100 nursery school kids as part of a general study of personality. The kids' personalities were rated at the time by teachers and assistants who had known them for months. There's no reason to think political bias skewed the ratings — the investigators were not looking at political orientation back then.

A few decades later, Block followed up with more surveys, looking again at personality, and this time at politics, too. The whiny kids tended to grow up conservative, and turned into rigid young adults who hewed closely to traditional gender roles and were uncomfortable with ambiguity. The confident kids turned out liberal and were still hanging loose, turning into bright, non-conforming adults with wide interests. The girls were still outgoing, but the young men tended to turn a little introspective.

In a society that values self-confidence and out-goingness, it's a mostly flattering picture for liberals. It also runs contrary to the American stereotype of wimpy liberals and strong conservatives.

Whether anyone's feelings are hurt or not, the work suggests that personality and emotions play a bigger role in our political leanings than we think. All of us, liberal or conservative, feel as though we've reached our political opinions by carefully weighing the evidence and exercising our best judgment. But it could be that all of that careful reasoning is just after-the-fact self-justification. What if personality forms our political outlook, with reason coming along behind, rationalizing after the fact?It could be that whom we vote for has less to do with our judgments about tax policy or free trade or health care, and more with the personalities we've been stuck with since we were kids.

A Meatball For All And All For A Meatball

Military strikes would be a godsend for the regime in Iran, especially the hardliners that the United States most fears. Targeted strikes on several key installations might indeed disrupt the nuclear program, but again these would generate immense consequences for the US and its allies. Military strikes would create ill-will from ordinary Iranians and extend indefinitely the lifetime of the regime. Such strikes also would not be enough to topple the regime and no government now has the manpower or will for such an occupation.

To the degree that military strikes would be successful and would manage to destabilize the regime, US foreign policy would be faced with a vortex of anarchy stretching from Islamabad to Damascus.

The Sept. 11 Records
A rich vein of city records from Sept. 11, including more than 12,000 pages of oral histories rendered in the voices of 503 firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians, were made public on Aug. 12 (2005). The New York Times has published all of them.

The oral histories of dispatch transmissions are transcribed verbatim. They have have not been edited to omit coarse language. They're At The New York Times

“[I]t was [like a] professional demolition where they set the charges on certain floors and then you hear 'Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop'."--Paramedic Daniel Rivera

“[T]here was just an explosion [in the south tower]. It seemed like on television [when] they blow up these buildings. It seemed like it was going all the way around like a belt, all these explosions.”--Firefighter Richard Banaciski

“I saw a flash flash flash [at] the lower level of the building. You know like when they demolish a building?”--Assistant Fire Commissioner Stephen Gregory

Good Second Riddance, Tsunami Laila

That Was Then:
The Swedish government's Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds deployed the security police to ban the extreme right wing Sverigedemokraterna's blog from publishing the cartoons by contacting their hosting ISP.

"“We think that this was the best decision after we were contacted by the Foreign Ministry and SĂ„PO,” Anna Larsson, vice president of hosting compant Levonline, told DN. Freivalds told DN that it is terrible that a small group of extremists are exposing Swedes to danger (by reprinting the cartoons)".” Säpo is Sweden's MI5.

This Be Now:
Prime Minister Göran Persson sacked Foreign Minister Leila Freivalds today over the affair to bolster his party's position heading into the upcoming national elections.

The sacking comes amid accusations that Laila Freivalds lied about knowing one of her aides was involved in shutting down the website posting cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed.

Such involvement by the government is a violation of constitutional guarantees of free speech.

The sacking should give reason for joy amongst the mirthful 5th column nazi fucks over at LGF. Imagine having something in common with those shit-kicking nazi lithpers for once - Neat-O!.

CATCH ALL Program Details Revealed

CATCH ALL (SMC's nomenclature)--a super-secret NSA program at the heart of the warrantless eavesdropping effort--the most sensitive details of which were first disclosed by your too-humble host and Master of Ceremonies, Meatball One, is now confirmed in a roundabout manner in an article at GovExec.

To find meaningful patterns in transactional data, analysts need a lot of it. They must set baselines about what constitutes "normal" behavior versus "suspicious" activity. Administration officials have said that the NSA doesn't intercept the contents of a communication unless officials have a "reasonable" basis to conclude that at least one party is linked to a terrorist organization.

To make any reasonable determination like that, the agency needs hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of call records, preferably as soon as they are created, said a senior person in the defense industry who is familiar with the NSA program and is an expert in the analytical tools used to find patterns and connections. Asked if this means that the NSA program is much broader and less targeted than administration officials have described, the expert replied, "I think that's correct."...

Such was the state of affairs when the NSA started looking for terrorist patterns in a telephonic ocean. So, instead of looking for a tool that could cull through the data, the agency decided to "reverse" the process, starting with the data set and working backward, looking for algorithms that could work with it.

The NSA has made some breakthroughs, the industry expert said, but its solution relies in part on a technological "trick," which he wouldn't disclose. Another data-mining expert, who also asked not to be identified because the NSA's work is classified, said that computer engineers probably started with the telecom companies' call data, looked for patterns, and then wrote algorithms to detect them as they went along, tweaking the algorithms as needed.

As your junior correspondent here at SMC, and no stranger to the spooky world of skullduggery, I am awe-struck by the prescience routinely shown in this pixelated domain by M1.

An End For A New Beginning

Preparations seem to be well underway in the U.S. to curtail possible massive-scale domestic civilian unrest in the wake of the pending confluencing attack on Iran.

Anabolized domestic intelligence assets overhanging Americans like the sword of Damocles are being further ramped up in capacity to identify and corral en masse U.S. residents that demonstrate transactional profiles correlated with deemed propensities for seditious-enuff activities.

The internet with all its repositories of distributed OSINT and pesky moles have proven to be a devastating force in short-circuiting the sufficiently co-opted corporate media's pandering blackouts of the Admin's true motions & secret potions at such times when divulgences are most needed for the electorate of a purported democracy (We don't need the fucking facts 2 years too late, thank you!).

Appropriate assets have been sufficiently assembled in keeping with total spectrum dominance doctrine to completely shut down the citizenry's tools for contrarian information consumtion and dissemination as part and parcel of the preparations underway to squelch anticipated monolithic dissent.

Market Watch reported in January that KBR received a USD 385 million contract to construct incarceration facilities at an undisclosed location in the U.S. to

"provide(s) for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities to expand existing ICE Detention and Removal Operations Program facilities in the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs. The contract may also provide migrant detention support to other government organizations in the event of an immigration emergency, as well as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency, such as a natural disaster," according to KBR.

Jeb's Little House Of Horrors - Part 2

Attorney General of Florida and Jeb-consecrated candidate in the 2006 Florida gubernatorial election Chain Gang Charlie Crist's dad Dr. Charles J. Crist sat on the advisory board of an organization named The Seed back in the early 1970's. Back then, Dr. Crist asked the Pinellas County school system (for which he served as chairman) to cooperate with The Seed.

The Seed was a chain of drug rehabilitation centers for minors first established in Ft. Lauderdale in 1970 by local South Florida actor Art Barker. Art had a mail order degree in psychology.

In 1974 a US Senate study chaired by Senator Sam Erwin examined The Seed and concluded the programme was subjecting American minors to the same brainwashing techniques used by the North Koreans on American POWs in the Korean War. Such techniques gained popular notoriety through films such as Frankenheimer's Manchurian Candidate.

The Senate study led the Federal government to close down its financial assistance to The Seed on the basis that the government should not be funding cruel and inhuman behaviour modification.

The Seed subsequently shrunk from a nationwide operation under federal funding back down to cult size - only to reappear a few years later under a new guise and in far more sinister form.

Mel Sembler - Republican Fundraiser extraordinaire and chairman of the legal defense fund for Scooter Libby is the founder of that nefarious resurrection.

But hey, we haven't even started our engines yet.
