Panelists include Co-Director of the IAC in New York, Sara Flounders; Professor of Anthropology, Dr. Elliot Fratkin; investigative journalist, Keith Harmon Snow; researcher on war crimes, Dimitri Oram; and Associate Professor of Anthropology, Enoch Page; and concludes with a panel discussion. This event on the crisis in Darfur was held on July 6, 2006 at Smith College in Massachusetts.

Part One:
http://www.kpfa.org/archives/index.php?arch=15665
Part Two: http://www.kpfa.org/archives/index.php?arch=15782

Keith's website:
http://allthingspass.com/index.html

He also has much of interest to say about the prevailing narratives pertaining to Rwanada.
http://tinyurl.com/j2ly4

And here's a collection of links to his various articles and interviews:

http://allthingspass.com/journalism.php?catid=17M1https://www.blogger.com/profile/05394503964463278951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19661405.post-1159485063599249092006-09-28T19:11:00.000-04:002006-09-28T19:11:00.000-04:00this is the interview I heard the much of yesterda...this is the interview I heard the much of yesterday:

http://www.kpfa.org/archives/index.php?arch=16356stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13137529614319346972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19661405.post-1159436648186668982006-09-28T05:44:00.000-04:002006-09-28T05:44:00.000-04:00Yeah, that guy has done some illuminating work ind...Yeah, that guy has done some illuminating work indeed. I found his Sudan perspectives especially helpful in lining up the action down there with the reality beyond the more bimboidal narratives.

I think I made a promise in the comment section here at SMC earlier this month to write a post about Africa, UAV's, and resource wars in the Sudan. His many findings are central to the pending effort. I'll try 'n dig up some multimedia links to previous presentations that Snow has made on the topic and post them to your sizzlin' gizzard.M1https://www.blogger.com/profile/05394503964463278951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19661405.post-1159434343665612062006-09-28T05:05:00.000-04:002006-09-28T05:05:00.000-04:00Speaking of Africa, I heard a fellow today on the ...Speaking of Africa, I heard a fellow today on the radio (Guns and Butter, KPFA) named Keith Harmon Snow. His website is www.allthingspass.com.

He has written several articles that have been in the annual Project Censored list, so the guy is for real. He has #24 this year, about Ethiopia.

Anyway, he had amazing things to tell about Africa... like, nearly everything I've ever heard is wrong. Like NGOs as well as media, mainstream and alternative, are wrong. Like Uganda has possibly more oil than Saudi Arabia. Like the largest supply of gum arabic, used in Coke, is in Rwanda. Like, despite what I've heard repeatedly, Sudan has oil...and there is no civil war in Southern Sudan. Like virtually all the strife suffered by Africans can be traced back to greed by western governments and companies. Like many boycotts by well-meaning people and groups are misdirected and actually helping the larger companies who want to move in after the boycotted companies leave.

It was eye opening in the extreme.

-stevestevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13137529614319346972noreply@blogger.com
